I ran four laps on Kasavuori, so the usual 12,xx km in an hour and twenty minutes. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I got a nasty blister on my toe, so I won't be running in a while. I will either get o my bike or go to the gym. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will try to reach my goal of 83 kg asap. The lowest I've been was 83,7 kg just a few weeks ago, but the irregular diet and lack of exercise while traveling over the last three weeks has made me gain a few kilos. This morning I weighed in at 87,2 kg, so I should reach the goal in the next few days.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;87,2 kg means that I have reached one milestone. My BMi is now 24,9, and I am now officially normal weight. How come I still feel fat just like before? I called it the Indoor Triathlon. My plan is to do 60 minutes on th treadmill, 60 minutes on the crosstrainer and 60 minutes on the bike.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I did just the 60 minutes of running and 30 minutes of crosstrainer. I got hungry and bored, so there was no chance on continuing for another 90 minutes. We did have some good stuff to eat last night, so my weight ended up being 88,5 kg for my weekly weigh'ing.&lt;br /&gt;I started with a good hour of running on the treadmill and followed it&amp;nbsp;with 20 minutes on the bike. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before having good pasta for lunch we went for a kittle over 9 km nordic walk. After 30 minutes on the AMT, 15 minutes on the bike and four sets of abs I weighed 89,6 kg on Friday. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On Sarurday we ate some fried garbage for lunch. This made our hour of badminton just about as sucky as possible.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today was better. I spent an hour on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the bike. Most likely I will be below Friday's weight tomorrow. That'll be a good start for the Easter week. I'm hoping to close to 88 kgon Friday. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Btw, yesterday I bought a pair of Peak Performance pants in size Medium. Can you believe that? (91) (22.3.2010)</title><content type='html'>Yesterday I came home after spending 4 days at the cottage. Even though we spent two days skiing, I still managed to gain a lot of weight during that time. To keep my sanity, I tried to shed some of that weight before Tuesday morning by going skiing. I did the usual 10,5 km in central park with a pretty easy pace and burned off 1100 kcal. My weight this morning was 91,5 kg, so 2,2 kg more than on Friday morning. It's either the fact that I wasn't able to break 90 last Friday, my weight gain over the weekend, the understanding of what's still left or maybe just general exhaustion. I'll try to do something tomorrow and on Thursday in order to get somewhere close to 90 on this Friday and then just relax at the cottage on the weekend. I'm taking two days of work and try to gather up energy for the spring rush at work and for the remaining workout project. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've lost a lot of muscle strenght during the last few months. This, I guess, means that I can fairly easily get rid of about 2 kg of liquid fairly easily, but my "real weight" at the moment is approximately 92. I decided to give up the super strict diet and get back to working on muscle strenght along side of all the aerobic stuff. My goal now is to lose 5 more kilos and reach 87 kg and at the same time gain a little muscle. In total then I think I need to lose 6-7 kg of fat. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I went to the gym. Weather was a bit too warm to my taste, but that doesn't explain why I felt like crap all the way. I did only 5 km and burned merely  589 kcal. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Who knows, maybe I should take a day off and try to recover properly from the past weekend's Golf Expo. The weather was perfec,t and despite being tired, it felt good. 1170 kcal lead to making my summer goal in less than half the time. 12,4 kg gone in 63 days. I'm now a light heavyweight, weigh'in 92,4 kg. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A new goal is already set. 83 kg by the end of the year. I'll try to make it a lot earlier, though. I skied the same route I did on Thursday, except this time doing two laps (á 1,6 km) in Olari. I tried to see how fast I could do the lap, and I did the first lap in 7 minutes and 18 seconds. On the second lap I to it a bit easier, not pushing myself to the limit like I did on the first laps. This time my time was 7 minutes and 47 seconds. I think this pretty much tells me that my technique (or rather the lack of any) doesn't last under more effort. Better just take it easy from now on and just make longer trips until I can get technically better at freestyle cross-country skiing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today my trip took a little over an hour and I burned exactly 1400 kcal according to my hr monitor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Weigh'ing tomorrow. I hope it'll be low enough so I won't get depressed. I'm expecting a weight of high 95's, but we'll see. First and last 2 km were hard (the normal central park route), but now I added a new part in Olari. The bad thing about that was that I stayed up late watching it. Today after work I fell asleep on the couch and wasn't sure if I'd have the energy to go ski, but I did go anyway. I'm glad I did, since I had a great time and I really rhig I getting a hang ofthe tecnique. I skied for an hour and 20 minutes, burning 1070 kcal. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The weekend of eating crap left an extra kilo into my body when comparing to Friday morning. I felt really energetic when I woke up and couldn't wait to go to the gym. When I got there, I started with 60 minutes on the bike and followed it with 30 minutes on the treadmill. I Tried to do some abs, but the were too sore from yesterday. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After lunch I still had quite a bit of energy left in me, so I went skiing. I also did 4x30 ab crunches and 4x10 inclined bench presses. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The bad came after. Since I had no nachos yesterday, I made sure I wouldn't make the same mistake again. We bought nachos, potato chips, chocholate donuts, candy and assorted chili nuts. Now, after OD'ing on sugas, fat and salt I know I won't be doing it again in a while. I wanted to me a good weight and after 15 minutes of running, 15 minutes on the bike and 30 minutes on the AMT I was able to make a decent weight this morning. 95,3 kg is 1,1 kg less than last week. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After deciding to pig out for the day I wanted to do it well. I started the morning with two rolls, a Snickers bar and a bag of candy. For lunch I ate a minute steak with french fries and a Coke. I even had a beef in the afternoon. :-) Later today we went for pizza and right now I eatin more candy. The only regret I have is that I didn't buy nachos and salsa. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tomorrow I will return to my normal schedule of extreme dieting and working out. After 30 minutes of running and 15 minutes of riding a bike I weighed 96,1 kg. Tomorrow morning I'm expecting to record a weight just under 96 kg. If I can find the energy to do my usual Thursday routine I just might be able to get to low 95's, but nothing more. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just like yesterday, I was not able to get my heart rate above 150 and therefore I burned only 670 kcal. I anxiously want to make 93 kg as soon as possible, but it Miika like it'll take more than 2-3 weeks. Oh well, I'm still well ahead of my plan, so I should be happy. Weight loss sems to be slowing down. So far I've been able to drop on 300 g since Friday. Since I'm used losing over a kilo in a week, I'm worried I won't lose much over  500 g this time. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anotherthig getting harder is burning calories, since I am getting lighter and into better shape. Today I ran for a little over 6 km in 40 minutes, but burning only 600 kcal. If one kilo is a little over 7000 kcal, I have to run and ski a hellova lot more in the upcoming weeks, since I can't cut down on eating any more. My diet keeps slipping back to well under 1000 kcal a day. I also want to keep making good progress on my weight loss, so today I ran for 30 minutes (4,5 km) and rode the bike for 10 minutes (4,5 km), just to keep my metabolism working hard. Look like I'm going to make my lowest weight of this whole 1,5 year period on Friday. Tonight the scale matched my earlier record of 97,5 kg and I still have 33 hours until my weekly weigh'ing. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Aggressive weight loss has taken it's toll on my muscle strenght. Today I was barely able to do 3x10 with 50 kg on the inclined bench press. I need to get back to weight training as soon as I make my spring goal weight. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Really stressful day at work today. I'm really glad I have this exercise regime these days, It definetely is a fantastic way to ventilate and clear my mind of all the stress. I'm also really happy for what I have at home. Yesterday I started to feel the flu coming at me once again, but I still went skiing. Today I still felt like crap from time to time, but I decided to get in a run even if it killed me. I ran for a decent 30 minutes and watched the night fall on the city. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This morning the scale was either broken or I'm really starting to lose the&amp;nbsp; weight at a really good pace. 98,2 kg after the huge drop on Friday and not even really trying over the weekend, that's what I like to see. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I probably won't have time to go to the gym tomorrow, so I just have to be extra careful with my eating. I'll eat myself full at breakfast, but not too full. The weather was perfect and I went to ski at my home golf club. The profile is a lot easier than the central park where I normally ski, and it really showed. I've been a bit worried all week because I haven't made any progress weight wise since last Friday. I still believed I'd lose at least 500 g (my minimum), but maybe not much more. Also, I have started adding a little calories to my diet over this past week, so that must have affected my weight this week. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I did a little bit more everything in order to record some progress tomorrow. I ate lighter food and just spent an hour on the treadmill. Ran for 9,5 km and burned 1100 kcal. All this made the scale stop at even 99,0 kg. All day it has been approximately 20 degrees celcius below zero. I'm glad&amp;nbsp; I made myself run on the treadmill, because for the first time all day I feel warm. Another thing that really made me smile was stepping on the scale when I got home. Even though night weigh'ins dont count, when the scale stopped at 99,9 kg I felt like I'm really making progress again. It's a real possibility that I just might be able to lose 5 kg in January. But noooo, I had want to break that 100 kg barrier this week. I'm a month ahead of my target, but still I can't give myself a break. Once again I have to make my goal as soon as possible. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Skied for 45 minutes and burned 837 kcal with the average hr o 158. The snow is still really icy, but I remembered one tip about the kick that helped a lot. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Should I take tomorrow off from gym? The weather was perfect, so I went to practice my skiing technique and I really believe I'm getting better. I just might do it again tomorrow if I have the time. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did only one lap in Espoo central park. This morning the scale stopped at 103,0 kg. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Haven't been able to do anything this week and I'm still stuck with the cold. I really hope I can do something over the weekend, but in order for that to happen I mist feel a lot better in the morning than what I did today. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's hard to try to keep a strict diet whily just sitting on the couch for a week. In a way I happy that I got back the motivation for aerobic stuff, but I really hope I will keep on lifting weights as well. I want my 95 kg to be mostly muscle. :-)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today was a fun, easy workout. 40 minutes on the xtrainer, and for the first time I tried the random resistance program. I really liked it, so I'll definetely use it in the future as well. Tried to learn how to ski. 'nuff said. Actually, kinda got a hang of the techique, but a loooong way to go before its smooth and easy. I need them for motivation and to make the following of progress easier.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So. Goal number one. I want my weight to be 95 kg or leass, by the 1st of June 2010. I will start the process on January 1st, and that's when I'll record the starting weight. I will post my weight on this blog on every Friday, even though I'll be following it daily.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Goal number two. To not eat candy or chocholate or potato chips or anything similar until I've reached goal number one. I will allow myself to eat anything I want on the 5th of every month.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I started the fat burning process by getting my body prepared for growing amount of aerobic workouts. This morning I did 30 minutes on the xtrainer and then did 4 sets of butterflies. I think I will do something else later today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tomorrow I'm supposed to go to buy some cross-country skis. Did 30 minutes on the xtrainer and it felt&amp;nbsp;like a slow and sweaty death. Heart rate got close to 170. Man, I really need to do something to make myself from slipping back to my old habits and habitus. I also did 3 sets of biceps and inclined bech presses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We also had a fun walk in the snow later tonight. No I think we'll just watch something on tv. I did go to the gym, but I'm once again feeling really sluggish and didn't do much. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;15 minutes on the treadmill, followed with 5 sets of bench presses and three sets of abs. That's it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday we also went out to eat with our good friends. I must've eaten large stones or something , since my stomach is still absolutely full. Today I've eaten only two small bowls of cereal and three sandwiches. I thought I'd easily get two workout done today if I did one well before noon. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I came to the gym and started with 20 minutes on the bike. Then I continued with 4 sets of bench presses, long pulls plus 3 sets of biceps, dips and deltoids. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So much that I want to do today. I'd like to go for a fun or maybe a long walk with the dog at one of the near by golf courses. Dog can run freely and they're really beautiful when there's a light frost on the grass. I did go to the gym, but I really should've eaten something beforehand. I started with 30 minutes on the xtrainer, but started to feel really week after that. I didn't even have any strengt to do even a few things after the warmup, so I just came back home and had three toasted rye breads with ultralight salami, cheese and tsaziki.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A few hour later we decided to go and play badminton again. A hour ofbadminton, this time with a hr monitor. We didn't go to the gym today, but we decided to start playing badminton instead. We have ne badminton and tennis courts near our home and we went to check them out. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We played 70 minutes of badminton with my wife and it was a lot of fun. I haven't played badminton in 8 years, so it took a while to get used to, but man did we have fun! I pretty sure I'll be feeling this tomorrow on my forearm and legs. (24) (4.12.2009)</title><content type='html'>&lt;br /&gt;I have no idea what's wrong with me. I have no motivation to work out and I really don't want to write this blog. All I want to do is eat. I didn't feel this way two weeks ago, so I'm a bit worried about myself. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I did go to the gym. Pretty basic one hour set with 20 minutes on the xtrainer, 5 sets of bench presses and 3 sets of biceps, triceps and long pull. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today i've eaten half of a kebab I bought yesterday and several cinnamon buns my wife has baked. At no point did I feel hungry, so I only eat because it is a habit. I had today off from work, so I decided to do an aerobic workout in the morning and a weight training later at night. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I started the day with 60 minutes on the cross trainer. The night workout consisted of 12 minutes on the cross trainer, new bench press exercise aiming at maximum power ( 3x3 with 60 % of max wight. The % will grow every week), lower back (3 sets), triceps (4), biceps (4) and butterflies (4).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I've&amp;nbsp;left out everything from my diet for a while. I will not eat anything besided salad and protein shakes until I've lost 7 kg. I need to take back all this weight I've gained in xmas parties, etc. Today I've eaten three small and thin slices of 100 % rye bread with tsaziki, 60 g of lasagnette and a large latte. I also started to take orlistat (fat catcher) and anti-salt to remove excess water from my body. I also take fish oil, vitamins and detox powder. More dicipline and focus, that's what I need. That sais, this is a really tough week to start being tougher on myself. All kind of office parties and weekend at the cottage does not really yell dicipline.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I did 30 minutes on the xtrainer, 4 sets of bench presses and 4 sets of long pull. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have the first confirmed swine flu case at the office. Just waiting my turnauksen will be. :-(&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh yeah, the diet. Oat meal for breakfast, slice of home made pizza for lunch and two pieces of toasted rye bread after work. And a large piece of chocolate cake. Did two workouts, but also ate like an idiot. Not good. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Earlier in the afternoon I walked to and back from swimming. I swam only for 800 before I got fed up with all the people and left. I walked a longer route home, so the total distance walked was 6,8 km. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Later I went to the gym. 12 minutes on the xtrainer and four sets of bench presses, abs, shoulders and back (long pull). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday I was asked to add more detail of my diet to my blog. Today was only my second time at the gym this week, so I'm really falling behind on my minimum of five workout per week. I really need to get my act back together, so nno rest for me tomorrow. Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow or Sunday so I could actually take my bike out for one last ride before winter. I'm going to go to the gym at least twice over the weekend, but I really want to add one pure aerobic exercise to this week's blog entries&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today's visit to the gym was a pretty crappy one. I went strainght from work, so I was really tired. Also there was a lot of people at the same time, so pretty much everything was occupied and I wasn't able to do my usual circuit training. Instead I had to do one exercise at a time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I started with a 12 minute, 2 km, run. I also did 4 sets of bench presses, leg presses, biceps and triceps. By the time I had done 3 sets of lower back I was really pissed of with the amount of people at the gym and decided to leave.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So. Hopefully I have the energy to do two things tomorrow in addition to my looong walk I always do when my wife vacuums. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right now I'm watching&amp;nbsp; UFC Unleached and getting motivation for the winter. Therefore I decided to go there this morning to do my first workout of the week. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Morning at the gym is always pretty tough, my body just doesn't want to wake up and do anything. I decided to start easy. I did 30 minutes on the xtrainer without altering the resistance or the climb angle. I got my heart pumping and thus the little anaerobic stuff I did after the xtrainer wasn't too bad. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So.
